Yesterday I said I was going to have an 'apple-cider soda' drink but meant an apple-vinegar soda drink.

Anyway, I did and it was probably better than the beer after our walk which turns out to be 5.6km. When I told Keita the length, he couldn't believe how such a short walk could make me as tired/sweaty as I was. Baby steps, baby steps.....

My new shoes were a godsend. Not only were they comfortable but they lit the way for us - very white!

Another good thing about doing this walking lark is that it's timed just as I would be washing the dishes so I usually arrive home to them being done for me - last night it was obviously Keita's turn because although the dishes were washed, dried and put away, the rest of the kitchen was a shambles!

Tomorrow I have another 'drinking' night but need to get home at a reasonable time because it's my turn to be 'on duty' at BB. I'm hoping to be back in the house by 11pm but we'll see!

Enjoy your drinking night. I tend to find that it is always the nights where I plan to be back early-ish that end up going on for later than the ones where I planned late nights! Sod's law in operation! :-)

My problem is that ALL nights out end up late (with this crowd, it can be anything up to 3am) so I'm going to have to make a big effort to get home.

Hey Alisa,
Jumped on your blog from another but thought I'd drop in and say hi, we're living on the Hyogo/Osaka border so possibly quite close to you, looking forward to reading your blog!
I'm on a less rice diet type thing at the moment too, not liking it too much though, good luck!

Hi Corinne, I've just spent the past hour reading your blog (you'd never know I worked!) and between yours and GW's I think mine needs a LOT more oomph added to it!

Your little boy is gorgeous - love that bum! - and I can relate to having a big baby, my son was always waay bigger than the rest of the babies which was both good and bad.

Hubby is also in the construction business so sympathise with work clothes and rain too.

Trying to lose weight is a bitch but at least you have bubs as an excuse.
